Peer-reviewed journal published at Yukon University in Whitehorse, Canada, on the Traditional Territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council

The Northern Review is a peer-reviewed open access journal publishing original research, commentaries, and book reviews that explore human experience in, and though about, the North, including the territorial and provincial Norths of Canada and the Circumpolar North. We also invite submissions from emerging, early career, and established northern scholars concerning topics that may not be focused on the North.

We follow a double anonymous peer-review process, and we welcome submissions at any time.

The journal is published online (occasionally in print) at Yukon University in Whitehorse, Canada, within the Traditional Territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and of the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council.

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) 4.0 License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal.
