Lesley Thomas

Lesley Thomas grew up on a fishing boat in Southeast Alaska and in the Alaskan Arctic. Norwegian/Sami by blood, she has close Inupiat and Siberian Yupiit relatives. Thomas has degrees in East Asian Studies and English, and has lived and worked all over the world. Trained in ecology, she researched the effects of oil spills on Bering Strait salt marshes.
