Peggy Shumaker

Peggy Shumaker's new book of poems is Gnawed Bones (Red Hen Press, 2010). Her memoir Just Breathe Normally is now out in paperback from Bison Books/U. of Nebraska Press. The poem "Star Gazers" takes place at Walker Lake in Alaska's Brooks Range. "How to Be a Mountain Climber" is set near Denali. Shumaker lives in Fairbanks, Alaska.
